I've been working on this book since November of 2010. I feel as if I have been procrastinating, however, as I take a closer look I realize that maybe it just wasn't the right time to get it completed. I had a million other things on the back-burner and they were burning.
Now that those things have cleared up a little bit, I am able to devote time to completing this work of fiction. I have a general outline of where I want the story to go but my characters will always direct me regardless of what path I believe they should take.
Since my life is hectic, I spend a few hours each night sitting in this chair staring at the computer screen or leaned back in my chair, hands clasped to my forehead willing the words to form in word. They will... they have... even if it is 200 words. It's 200 words.
The time that I have taken away from this has allowed me to read more, to become more and to see more of what I need to do to put the images and the stories into your heads. I need to leave you wanting more.
Always an author...

Just a snippet...
I was watching one in particular. A girl of about ten years of age. She looked as if she could have blended into my own daughter's school with backpack in tow. But even she shuffled along. Her head was cocked to the side with her blonde hair in her face, eyes wide and mouth hanging limp.
It’s funny how they don’t even bump into each other. It's as if they have some sort of radar to know where their kind are. They don’t talk, and hell, they don’t even breathe. They just open up their mouths to swallow you whole.
